For us, tango is an active form of meditation. The dance asks you to be present in your body, mindful of your breath, connected with your environment, and open to the experience. Then it asks you to embrace another with the same loving presence you have for yourself.
In this series, we will learn to offer and receive this communication through our hands and our hearts. We’ll apply these embodied feelings to tango’s fundamental movements in ways that can translate to other dances and your life off the dance floor. And we’ll guide you into new ways of connecting and conversing with your fellow dancers—and yourself.
Class registration is $40 for 4 classes per person.
Classes will be held on Sundays 3-4pm at Red Scarf Studios, 121 W. 32nd Studio C. in Durango, CO.
